📜 THE STORY
In a distant world transformed by technological revolution, two corporations stand at odds: Tech Nova and Mecha Tech. Tech Nova, founded on principles of scientific progress and societal betterment, creates advanced autonomous robots and androids. Their rival, Mecha Tech, emerged from dissenters who sought to weaponize this technology for military dominance.
To settle their differences without open conflict, they established the Mech Rivals tournament - a grand spectacle held every five years where each corporation selects an android engineer to represent them in technological combat.
You are Blazar, Tech Nova's chosen representative. As you step into the colossal stadium for the championship match, you're stunned to discover your opponent is Vortex - your former friend and partner. Years ago, desperate circumstances led you to sabotage Vortex's work to secure your position at Tech Nova. Now Vortex stands before you, representing Mecha Tech with an army of robots that are disturbingly familiar...
Vortex has stolen your blueprints and created identical war machines. As the stadium roars around you, you realize this is more than a competition - it's a personal battle for redemption. Deploy your mechanical forces on the blue grid to defend your base while attacking Vortex's red stronghold. Only one corporation will emerge victorious in this clash of technology and betrayal!
🎮 GAMEPLAY MECHANICS
- Solar Pulses:
- Your energy currency (starts at 120)
- Appears as a yellow sphere with orbital rings
- Counter in the top-left corner
- Generation Capsules:
- 5 capsules for 5 different robots
- Top button: "Generate [Robot]" (shows cost)
- Green progress bar appears during generation
- After generation, a Robot Card appears in your deck
- Upgrade System:
- Two buttons located directly below the generation button
- Left button: Increases robot health
- Right button: Reduces generation time
- Each path has two upgrade levels
- Once you choose a path (health or time), you can only continue upgrading that path
- Deck & Deployment:
- Blue inventory box at bottom of screen
- Holds Robot Cards with stats (health ❤️, damage ⚡)
- Pagination System:
- Each page holds 3 cards
- When you exceed 3 cards, a new page is created
- Pagination indicator: "Current Page / Total Pages"
- Left/right arrow buttons to navigate between pages
- Cards are added in the order they're generated
- Left-click card to deploy, right-click to cancel
- Place robots only on your blue grid
- Victory Conditions:
- Win: Reduce enemy base health to 0
- Lose: Your base health reaches 0
🎮 CONTROLS
CAMERA CONTROLS
- WASD: Move camera (forward, backward, left, right)
- Control / "Z" (Only for WebGL): Lower camera (move down)
- Spacebar: Raise camera (move up)
- Mouse at screen edges: Rotate camera
ROBOT DEPLOYMENT
- Left-click Robot Card:
- Card disappears from deck
- Robot model follows mouse cursor
- Left-click on grid: Places robot
- Right-click: Cancel deployment (robot returns to deck)
STEAM DECK / CONTROLLER
- Left Stick: Move camera (WASD equivalent)
- R1 / Right Shoulder: Raise camera (Spacebar)
- L1 / Left Shoulder: Lower camera (Control/Z)
- A Button (South): Deploy robot (Left Click)
- B Button (East): Cancel deployment (Right Click)
Note: Full controller support is not implemented. Camera rotation does not work with the right stick. On Steam Deck, use trackpads for mouse control. Most gameplay requires keyboard/mouse or Steam Deck's trackpad.

Beetle Blaster
Frontline attacker - Based on Stag Beetle
- Health: 55 ❤️
- Damage: 8 ⚡
- Cost: 110 Solar Pulses
- Generation Time: 20s
- Ability: Shoots energy spheres every 5s
Goliath Guardian
Defensive tank - Based on Goliath Beetle
- Health: 90 ❤️
- Damage: 0 ⚡
- Cost: 150 Solar Pulses
- Generation Time: 40s
- Ability: 50% chance to parry attacks
Rhino Rampart
Base destroyer - Based on Rhinoceros Beetle
- Health: 100 ❤️
- Damage: 20 ⚡
- Cost: 320 Solar Pulses
- Generation Time: 65s
- Ability: Attacks enemy base directly
Bombardier Bastion
Rage-powered defender - Based on Bombardier Beetle
- Health: 200 ❤️
- Damage: 25 ⚡
- Cost: 280 Solar Pulses
- Generation Time: 75s
- Ability:
- Enters Rage mode when health drops below 60%
- Starts attacking like Beetle Blaster
- Every 4 hits taken increases damage by 10
- Damage counter resets after each increase
